Busamed Harrismith Private Hospital (BHPH) lends a hand to senior citizens on Mandela Day, 18 July 2018

2018 marks the centenary of the birth of Nelson Mandela and BHPH, together with a number of local Doctors and SMME’s in Qwa Qwa joined hands in honour of Mandela Day. Last year, an outreach health programme was formed with the aim of offering medical assistance to senior citizens. On the 18th of July- Mandela Day, local Doctors and SMME’s again joined forces to lend a hand to the community. The health screenings and activities to celebrate Mandela Day began at 09:00am and various medical assistance was offered to over 260 people.
BHPH participated in this superb initiative by doing health checks- including blood pressure and glucose screenings. In addition, the hospital donated medical items and medication to patients in need.
The day was certainly fulfilling and was done in true honour of Madiba!
